Leja has two entry points depending on who you are. If you manage properties or work as an agent, you’ll start with Leja Professional. If you’re a tenant, space seeker, or service provider, you’ll start with Resident. Both paths begin at leja.com and take about five minutes to complete.Documentation Index

Follow these steps if you’re an agent, property manager, or running a real estate organisation. By the end, you’ll have a property in your portfolio, a tenant linked to it, and your first witnessed payment receipt generated.
Create your account
Go to leja.com and sign up. Choose Leja Professional when prompted to select your surface. You’ll verify your email address before continuing.
Set up your organisation
After signing in, you’ll land in the Leja Professional onboarding flow. Enter your organisation name and select your primary operating state. Leja uses your state to determine which tenancy laws, receipt formats, and agreement clauses apply by default. If you’re a solo agent without a registered firm, you can proceed without creating an organisation — your personal RIN acts as your professional identity.
Add your first property
Navigate to Portfolio and click Add property. Enter the property address, select the state and LGA, and specify the property type. Leja assigns a Property RIN automatically — a permanent identifier that will hold this property’s entire tenancy and maintenance history.
Add a tenant
Open the property and click Add tenant. Enter the tenant’s details including their NIN (National Identification Number). Leja creates or links their Resident Identity Number (RIN) and connects them to this tenancy. The tenant receives a notification that a tenancy has been recorded on their RIN.
Confirm your first payment
When the first rent payment is received, go to the tenancy record and click Confirm payment. Enter the amount and payment date and confirm. This is the witnessing act — you are attesting that the payment was received. The record is now permanent and cannot be altered.
Generate and share the receipt
Leja generates a state-compliant receipt immediately after confirmation. The receipt is numbered in the
LJA-YYYYMM-XXXX format and formatted to the legal requirements of the property’s state. Share it directly with your tenant from within the platform.Your professional record now has one verified transaction on it. Every subsequent payment you confirm adds to both your record and your tenant’s Trust Graph. You’ve created a property, linked a tenant, confirmed a payment, and generated a verified receipt. Your professional record on Leja has begun.
